2nd Annual Cast + Blast Wounded Veterans Celebration
Please join along the route to celebrate and cheer our wounded veterans. The ride will be escorted by local officials and the GA Patriot Riders for an Honor Ride on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 10:30 am.
The route will start at the Greensboro Home Depot- 2490 Meadow Crest Road, Greensboro, GA and continue to the destination of Lake Oconee Elks Lodge 2849- 871 Harmony Road, Eatonton, GA.
Cheer points will be at the following locations: Hwy 44 & Linger Long Road or Hwy 44 & Harmony Road.

Veterans Deer Hunt
*** UPDATE 11/20/2023: EVENT FULL ***
Veterans will enjoy a full day fellowship while also enjoying the great outdoors. As part of the day's agenda, gun safety and ethical hunting practices are discussed in detail. The day will end with an afternoon deer hunt. The Georgia Chapter of SCI will cover any costs associated with processing a deer for a hunter who have been successful in their hunt. All processed venison will then be returned to the hunter and their family.
Youth Deer Hunt - Rockmart
Youth Deer Hunt participants are treated to a full day of educational discussions presented by Georgia Department of Natural Resources wildlife professionals, including game wardens, hunting and shooting education specialists, and wildlife biologists. During several presentations and discussions, participants learn about hunting, the shooting sports, laws and regulations, and wildlife conservation. In addition to the educational briefings, the youth hunters spend time at the shooting range learning to shoot both rimfire and centerfire rifles.

Wounded Veterans Cast & Blast at Lake Oconee
The Georgia Chapter of SCI will partner with Glasslined Technologies, Inc. for the inaugural Wounded Veterans Cast & Blast event at the beautiful Lake Oconee. From September 18-20, 2023, veterans will gather for three days of outdoor activities and camaraderie.
Ladies Introduction to Hunting Firearms
Join Artemis Georgia women for a Georgia SCI Learn Hunting Firearms Training. This opportunity is available for 6 to 8 ladies (18+) who want to develop their skills with firearms. Experienced volunteers are welcome to contribute and support as well. The event will be held August 13th from approximately 8am-3pm located 20 minutes SE of Macon (private property near Dry Branch). Cost will be $50 with lunch included.
Wounded Veterans Fishing Weekend at Lake Lanier
The Georgia Chapter of SCI is scheduled to host its Annual Wounded Veterans Fishing Weekend at Lake Lanier during the weekend of July 7-9, 2023.
The weekend’s festivities kick off with a Friday evening dinner at Rooster’s Café, where veterans and volunteers will gather for a great meal and have a chance to get to know each other. On Saturday morning, veterans and volunteers will set out for an 11-boat fishing tournament on Lake Lanier. Following the morning of fishing with some of Lake Lanier’s best captains, lunch will be provided. Later Saturday evening, guests will board the Amistad, a 100-foot houseboat owned by Tommy and Chantal Bagwell, for a three-hour sunset dinner cruise on Lake Lanier, feasting and fellowshipping even more throughout the night.

Chapter Striper Fishing Trip
Join the Georgia Chapter of SCI for a morning of fun and fellowship as we target striped bass in Lake Lanier. A morning of fishing will be followed by lunch.
